Chelsea FC are one of the biggest football clubs in the UK and the world, this obviously inspires the local area to partake in such activities. Within football the injury rate is quite high with a variety of issues such as ligament tears, muscle injuries, broken bones and contact injuries, however one of the biggest muscular issues in football are groin/adductor problems. This leads to the question can strengthening the muscle group help to reduce the injury rate when playing football. The simple answer is yes, by following a simple pre season program consisting of 3 exercises the injury rate is reduced significantly, therefore this should defiantly thought about as a primary objective for coaches moving forward to try and decrease the chances of injury in there players.
