In a recent study undertaken in 2019 they investigated the effects of exercise on mortality which was described as cancer, cardiovascular disease (CVD) or coronary heart disease. They investigated over 50 studies with a follow up time scale minimum of 2 years. The results came back extremely positive! They showed that mortality risk was reduced however the level of exercise required varied. When compared with the recommended levels of exercise, mortality risk was lower at physical activity levels well above the recommended target range. Therefore could suggest that more exercise you do could have greater health benefits. Exercise can be extremely easy the NHS has put forward a scheme called couch to 5km which helps people convert from a sedentary lifestyle into a more active one. Exercise is the key!
