Intermittent Claudication is pain into the calf leg or thigh that is brought on during walking and is relieved by rest, about 4% of the population over 60 will suffer with this condition. It is brought on by Peripheral Vascular Disease which is basically a narrowing of the vessels away from the heart. a lot of research has  been done on this area and found that EXERCISE seems to be the best and most effective form of treatment and over avenues should only be investigated after. The study suggests primary exercise as pain free walking intervals. This is really good news s it empowers the patient to help control there own outcome from the condition.
