Everyone is aware of the benefits of exercise and the impact it has on the body but can I actually help us to live longer? a study carried out in 2019 looked at the affects of running of illnesses such as cancer and cardiovascular disease. The study stated that "Increased rates of participation in running, regardless of its dose, would probably lead to substantial improvements in population health and longevity." This study shows the measurable effect that exercise can have on the system of the body and not only on "fitness" or "aesthetics" , this suggests that your health really is in your own hands and a simple exercise like running can make all the difference.
