The Benefits of Exercise

In 2019 in Korea a study was undertaken to see what psychological benefits where gained by partaking in regular exercise activity. The study suggested that regular activity is a brilliant strategy to combat mental heath and promote wellbeing.

A shocking statistic put forward by Adams and White in 2005 suggests that over 70% of people in the UK fail to meet the guideline amount of daily exercise, what effect is this having on our body. Physical inactivity is one of the leading causes of death in developed countries leading to illnesses such as:

  • Heart disease 
  • Colon cancer 
  • Diabetes 
  • Stroke
  • Breast cancer  

Exercising regularly cannot cure all the issues that we face in life however it can certainly give to a much better chance when facing them, while also decreasing your chances of getting them in the first place. Regular exercise doesn't have to be vigorous and could be as simple as a park run.
